Part 8: The Lounge 25 March 2010

From the menu I took a giant bruschetta for £3.50 to start, but it was big enough to make a decent meal on its own. Lots of cheese, balsamic vinegar and olives, covered in chesse, on slices of chiabatta.

For mains I went for a burritto, again a big portion with plenty of sauces, and a fairlty reasonable £8.50.

Service was good, althogugh the place was very quiet, apart from two another tables and a drunk Latvian who arrived later, we had the place to ourselves.

I look forward to other's comments especially on the Tangines...

What exactly is this restaurant? It isn't English food, kind of a schitzo Morrocan/Mexican crossover?

Part 7: Pizza Express

I liked this one cos we got to show people this.
Thursday 18 Feb.

Part 6: Siam Smile

A joint Restaurant Crawl and Jude's Birthday event. As Jude is sooo popular, about 50,000 of us shared a table.

I shared a tasty, fish free set menu with Penny, and Percy/Pete talked about Jumpers.

Part 5: Benedictos

Thursday 3rd December 2009

Helen: "have been there once when I was about 14 and remember it as being quite fancy but good.."

Nina: " ...its one of the restaurants I've heard good things about (predominantly from Sam)"

Part 4: The Glasshouse

16th October 2009.

I recall chicken and beans. Nice.

Part 3: Thai Crystal

Wednesday August 26th.

I remember this one as me and Vick got there an hour early, then met Helen and Hannah in the Pub, one of whom spilt a drink over Vick I think....

Helen:
I don't think the drink was actually 'over' Vick? I seem to remember a wobbly table in the Kings Head being the cause anyway...

Thai Crystal was excellent value - great food and lovely service. I had Gang Masaman which is creamy, mild-ish curry with potato.

The decor is all beautiful carved wood from Thailand and it's (unfortunately for them I guess) always really quiet in there which means that the food is served quickly and the waitresses are very attentive

If you where there please request permission to edit this post, and put down your thoughts? Maybe a short paragraph, or a list of pros and cons. Was the food good, the service? the company? Value for money?

Please edit this post, or just add a comment.

I will keep working on the design of the blog, so send any rlevant pictures to me by email.
